just as the royal commission began uncovering dirt, george pell got 'promoted' and moved from australia to the vatican.

now he is coincidently too 'unwell' to return to australia to face the commission.

this article is sad.

but what amazes me is her jw family is accepting donations or has to resort to the very worldly people they look forward to being destroyed.

I'm sorry but is anyone else smelling a rat here? I am as compassionate and understanding and human as the next person but this story is traversing the worlds media in the past 6 days or so and it just so happens that this poor girl was featured on the February JW Broadcasting? The girl and her family also just happens to be; yes, you guessed it; AUSTRALIAN? Damage control alert maybe? I don't know, I'm sure you will tell me?

Did they seek out this Australian family specifically for the emotional effect it would have? Was this all coincidence? Then we see what can only be described as an orchestrated media campaign build up and as you can understand the people of the world (worldly people) exhibit human compassion to a major extent in their offering of help, support and assistance? No surprise at all, as it is human nature to be concerned about the plight of suffering children and the rest of humanity in general.

A lady by the name of Megan Latham starts a GoFundMe campaign looking for $150,000 to help the family for flight home? https://www.gofundme.com/phelicitysneesby As of today this fund in far in excess of the the goal and stands at $218,675? As many have said on the crowd funding site comments, there are actually charities which can help this family to get home such as https://www.miracleflights.org/ and http://www.graceonwings.org/ and even Quantus has offered help I believe? On these flights only the fuel has to be paid for as the Doctors and Nurses offer their charitable assistance?

Should not the first port of call for help have been The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society first since they used this child in a propaganda piece to look good to the Australian lobby and the wider world? No matter how one may feel about the Watchtower, I am sure if they were approached they could have pulled some strings or had some sort of help for this family. I thought they had aircraft?

Where is the help from the brothers? And who benefits from the excess funds raised? If it is Phelicity and family, well that is fine but it should have been stated on the fund and not just as for flights home? I wonder could the Watchtower Charity be a beneficiary? In fact, crowdfunding could be a lucrative money spinner if you get the right emotional story and social media campaign built up after a promo on JW Broadcasting? Hmmmm...

Big city teenager Ren MacCormack (Kevin Bacon) moves to a small town where rock music and dancing have been banned, and his rebellious spirit shakes up the populace. I remember some of my friends were forbidden to watch that movie back in the day because of it's rebellious message. Dodgy geezer turns up and gets all the religious girls agitated and up for naughtiness...I'd say there's a few Ren's in that very hall as well...lol

i mean this with all due respect, i would like to hear from genuine people who think jw have it wrong and then what is the truth?.

The only conceivable alternative for many ex JW's wanting to remain Christian is simply to go to Jesus. There is a true church alright but it is a Church Without Walls. You will not find the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help us God in any man made religion or organisation but we will find sincere people in all Christian denominations who are also seeking the Lord. I personally believe Jesus alone is the way, the truth and the life and no one can come to the Father except through him and not any man made religion or Christ Monger. I find this rule of thumb to be very wise indeed and something to keep in mind when considering the vast array of different christian belief systems. In essential things, unity; in non-essential things, liberty; in all things, love. Seek out those who love Jesus as where two or three are gathered in his name, there he will be also. May we all find peace and enlightenment on whatever path we decide to go remembering that God is a God of Love and not a God of condemnation as they would have us believe and is greater than all our fears combined.

Orgone Energy and Jehovah's Witnesses

just a little process writing ... with a some tongue-in-cheekiness tossed in.

i pulled out my copy of this book, which i still have with all the highlighted answers and scriptures written in the margins when i was a tween and teen studying to get baptized.

my whole existence was based on the ideas in this book being real and true and i lived my life accordingly, sacrificing myself to the jehovah's witnesses organization, with nothing to show for it.

Here is an interesting fact on Orgone or Orgonon energy. It is actually the subject of Kate Bushs' classic song and video, "Cloudbusting". She mentions Orgonon in the first line..."I still believe in orgonon..."

Like Bush's first hit "Wuthering Heights", this is based on a book. It was inspired by Peter Reich's 1973 Book of Dreams, which describes his father Wilhelm's arrest for contempt of court. Wilhelm Reich was an Austrian psychiatrist who was trained in Vienna by Sigmund Freud.

His work combined Marxism and psychoanalysis to advocate sexual freedom. In the 1930s, Reich came up with the concept of "orgone," a physical energy contained in the atmosphere and in all living matter. The "Cloudbuster" was a device he came up with to manipulate the orgone energy in the atmosphere, which would force clouds to form and bring rain.

Very interesting grade-point analysis Oubliette. The agenda here is Dim-Down, Dumb-Down. I have heard of simplified Chinese, High and Low German and so on but now we have Simplified English? Its a new contrivance and totally unnecessary unless you are writing technical publications for robots to understand and for some other alternative technical reasons...but for educational purposes? The jury is out for me on this one..
